The Local Pub and Teahouse

Built in the budding Beekman Street Arts District in Saratoga Springs, NY, the Local Pub and Teahouse, serves the neighborhood unique selections of food and spirits from around the world. Located on the ground floor of the Beekman Street multi-use building at the corner of Beekman Street and Grand Avenue, this local bar/restaurant is a feature of sensibly-integrated green building technologies, incorporating many sustainable features, such as the use of many locally and regionally manufactured building products, high-recycled content materials, indigenous planting materials, low or no VOC finishes, day-lighting strategies, occupancy sensors, high-efficiency HVAC systems, high-performance glazing, spray foam insulation, and a palette of warm, natural building materials and finishes.

With its long reclaimed timber bar, ‘South Bay Quartzite’ stone fireplace, and a large outdoor Pub Garden where you can relax in a “Local” Adirondack chair, the Local Pub and Teahouse was quick to become a signature structure in the historic “Dublin” neighborhood of Saratoga Springs. This project was complete in 2007, under budget and within a ten month construction schedule.
