The House that Dick and Jane Built
Greenfield Center, NY

This home was shaped by a careful orchestration of sustainable values, combining the clients’ needs with careful site placement for passive solar heating and cooling, leaving the characteristically hilly site undisturbed, considering winds, significant land features and using harvested wood with all natural finishes. As one of the early examples of innovative residential design, the house identified Phinney Design Group as a leading firm in ecological architecture.

“Care and respect — for those who built their home and for the land it sits on — are the secret ingredients these homeowners brought to their magical home.” – Natural Home & Garden Magazine
