Beekman Street Multi-Use Building
Saratoga Springs, NY

To act as a reflection of the firm’s design philosophy and provide an example of sensibly integrated green building technologies, the building at the corner of Beekman Street and Grand Avenue has provided an anchor as the first new construction in the budding Beekman Street Arts District in Saratoga Springs, New York. The multi-use building has incorporated many sustainable features such as the use of many local and regionally manufactured building products, high-recycled content materials, indigenous planting materials, low or no VOC finishes, day-lighting strategies, occupancy sensors, high-efficiency HVAC systems, high-performance glazing, spray foam insulation, SIP roof panels, a green roof and a palette of warm, and natural building materials and finishes.

The building provides four distinct studio spaces with 4-5 employees in each studio, collaboration and layout spaces occupy each of the light filled areas. The building has quickly become a signature structure in the historic “Dublin” neighborhood of Saratoga Springs West Side.
