Phinney Design Group was hired by Ocean Properties, the Owners of The Sagamore Resort, to provide planning and design assistance for a major renovation to the 126 year old historic resort. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and located within the Adirondack Park, The Sagamore is unique in its setting and natural beauty. Renovations to the hotel were focused on creating a financially viable facility out of the aging resort. New guest rooms, dining rooms, outdoor pools, and lounges were a few of the new improvements . The design and construction was completed on a fast track schedule in order to reopen the resort for the summer season. Long term plans for a new spa and other amenities are being developed in master planning efforts with the LA Group.
