When the Village of Lake George needed a new firehouse, Phinney Design Group was honored to take charge of the design. Working closely with Village officials and firefighters during the feasibility study and assessment of their existing facility, it was determined they needed a new user-friendly building with more space that would allow them to better perform their job, a building that was easily accessible, efficient, and functional. The new building would require a design that was conceived to meet their program as well as current health and safety code requirements. Phinney Design Group has proposed a new, modern firehouse that will follow the United States Green Building Council’s LEED Rating System. Once completed, the firehouse will include all the amenities that the village firefighters required as well as a new environmentally conscious building for them to work in.
