Completed in 2001, the facility became the newest student housing complex to be built at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in the last 20 years. Barton Hall incorporated a variety of housing options and modern technologies that transformed “dorm living” at the prestigious college campus. While employed by WCGS Architects, Mr. Phinney provided programming and conceptual design services while the firm corresponded with a cross section of the existing student body, facilities management personnel and Dean of Students.
