AVEDA's high-profile, all organic and natural ingredients mission that determines its product line is now requiring the design of its spaces to follow suit. The owners of Classical Concepts opened a prominent new location on Broadway in Saratoga Springs with the intent to fulfill AVEDA's mission. They asked the Phinney Design Group to outfit an existing space which will convert its product-based clientele into service-based clientele by offering massage, styling, manicures, and pedicures in an all natural environment. Wood, stone, tile and no-VOC paint was the palate for custom designs by the firm which included lights with birch veneer, mahogany manicure and pedicure stations, maple cabinetry in the massage rooms, and efficient lighting in the retail and styling areas. As the spa has well exceeded the owners' expectations, the resulting design has created a vibrant and popular destination on Broadway in Saratoga Springs.
